At the intersection of art and science exists a rich world, deep with meaning – the Brainy Art Exhibition called upon student artists from the Central Florida area to submit an original piece of artwork illuminating the artist’s perception and perspective of the human brain and spine. Orlando Neurosurgery and Verax Investments seek through sponsorship of the Brainy Art Exhibition to nurture and reward the imagination of student artists. The Artistic Review Panel evaluated all entries during the entry period (11/1/22 - 3/1/23) and selected four finalists.
During an art reception on March 30, 2023 as part of the ribbon cutting celebration for the new Orlando Neurosurgery Spine and Brain Center - the winners were revealed. Kenzie Argus, 11th Grade, was selected to receive $1,000 for her piece "Controversial Mind". The remaining three finalists each received $500. The artwork will be on display for one year in the lobby of Orlando Neurosurgery Spine and Brain Center located at 12323 West Colonial Drive in Winter Garden, Florida.
